I thought we were almost out of Rainbath shower gel, so I ordered more. Turns out we have one more bottle left. This is TBGs favorite soap, so that's what I buy. It can be pricey in the store, so I order it on-line. Three forty ounce bottles are just around sixty bucks, including tax, with free shipping. The shipment will last us at least a half a year, of not longer.
I've also gotten the guy hooked on Rainbath sesame oil. I have to see if I can find a similar deal on that. I'd gotten four or five bottles on deep clearance. A few were store brands, but they were fine. The 8.5 oz size generally sells for about twelve bucks. Rite Aid had five of them at their register marked down to $2.95. I bought them all. He wondered why. Then he had really dry skin in the winter and started using it. Now he swears by it and commended me on finding that deal.
This is one thing I will always want to buy on a deal since it's pricey, but I don't worry about coupons. The best prices are on-line, unless you happen to be in a store that has a large markdown. Unless the store is doing a new planogram and phasing out the size or product, that isn't very likely. But I always look!
Once summer rolls around, I love the sesame lotion -- which is harder to find in stores and also not as easy to find deals on. I generally go for whatever moisturizer is on sale and/or has a coupon. Not sure if I'll lay out $$ on the moisturizer, but I sure am tempted!
This stuff isn't really expensive, so I can rationalize it as a splurge -- but it never hurts to find a deal.
I have never heard of that. I'll have to look out for it just to read the label...lol.
ReplyDeleteEverything Neutrogena makes is good quality. It lathers well, but not too much. It has a nice fresh smell -- kind of like sesame and pine, which is what TBG likes since he is a guy. CVS makes a good version, but not all off-labels are. Dollar Tree carries a generic version that is really bad!
